Pain Management

Our emergency team is committed to keeping our patients comfortable when they are experiencing a painful condition. Pain management is an important part of medical care as animals instinctually hide pain. We are careful to identify these symptoms and utilize a variety of pain management medications, as necessary. It is important to us that all of our patients are as comfortable as possible while they are in our care.

Diagnostic Equipment

Our full range of diagnostic equipment enables our veterinary team to diagnose your pet’s condition and determine their treatment needs as quickly and efficiently as possible. We utilize digital radiology to check for internal issues, and we are also able to provide complete laboratory services, using Idexx and Abaxis equipment in-hospital to get immediate results.

Radiology

Radiology is a very important tool for diagnostics, and digital radiology ensures that your pet will be exposed to less radiation than with traditional techniques. Due to the ability to manipulate images with a computer, your pet is not required to undergo repeated exposures. Another benefit of this computer based technology is that a CD containing the radiology images will be sent home with you. These should be shared with your regular veterinarian and stored with your pet’s medical records.

IV Pumps

IV Pumps are utilized to regulate fluid administration to our hospitalized patients. This ensures that they remain properly hydrated and receive medication in the safest manner.

Incubators

Our incubators are used for patients who are recovering from a surgical procedure or who are suffering from hypothermia. Incubators help to maintain body temperature and stabilize our hospitalized patients.

Pet Pharmacy Services

Our well-stocked in-house pharmacy allows us to provide our patients with the medication they may need during the course of their stay. We are stocked with the medications most commonly required by our emergency patients and for the conditions we typically see. This is especially convenient for you as most outside pharmacies will not be open after-hours to fill your pet’s needs.

Exotic Pet Emergency Care

Pet Emergency Centers team understands the importance of addressing exotic pet patient care. We are the only local emergency center that provides after-hours care for these special friends. It is very important to immediately attend to any abnormal behavior your exotic pet displays; this is often a sign of illness in these delicate creatures.
